Fluvio-Glacial Channel

Water stream cuts and grooves the ice inside the glacier itself, thereby creating a series of tunnels and galleries called Fluvio-Glacial Channels. The debit force of these streams can reach serveral dozen cubic meters per second. These subterranean rivers are unpredictable. The strength and pressure of the water flows are such that when they reach the surface they are comparable to strong torrents capable of carrying very large rocks, it is thereby very dangerous to walk inside a glacier.
