Responding to a request to develop and market a major, economically diverse tourism project, from the city of Baie-Comeau, the Saint Lawrence Boreal Center is proud to unveil le Jardin des glaciers.
This is a never-before-seen, innovative, technologically advanced project. Using glaciers and climate change as its theme, this project is reliant on the globally unique characteristics of the territory, consequences of the last Ice Age.
A multidisciplinary team of specialists called the Expedition Team of Le Jardin des glaciers, has been put together to ensure the success of this widespread project. Team members include:

Today, together, we unveil the concept of Le Jardin des glaciers project as it will be for its June 2009 opening. The mandate of this team is to develop a unique project that is future-oriented and has the potential of attracting 40,000 visitors to Baie-Comeau and the Manicouagan region in the next few years.
Le Jardin des glaciers is presently in the building phase of this 9.7 million dollar project. Le Jardin des glaciers project team has already convinced many northern cruise lines to add Baie-Comeau as a port of call for their 2009 season.
The grand opening of Le Jardin des glaciers in June 2009 ,will allow this region to become a must-see tourist destination, by also joining forces with existing tourist attractions and thus developing 3 to 7 day excursions in the Baie-Comeau area.
Le Jardin des glaciers project is a team-building one, supported by a future-oriented, dynamic city, Baie-Comeau, with a primary objective of making the Manicouagan region the new tourist destination of the next few years, attracting people from inside and outside of Québec.
